A Fundamental Christian Confession

This confession is designed to build the Christian's faith. We need to know who we are in Christ and what He has done for us. Following each statement I will give the scripture reference, it would be beneficial to look these up in your Bible as well as the cross references. It is not wrong to confess what your heavenly Father says about you in His Word, the Bible. As you look these Scriptures up, believe what the Bible says about you, speak it out loud  faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

May the Lord give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him; may your eyes of understanding be enlightened.  (Ephesians 1:17-18)

I am a child of God by faith in Jesus Christ.  (Romans 8:16   Galatians 3:26  John 1:12)
The Holy Spirit bears wittiness with my spirit that I am a child of God and as God's child, I am a joint heir with Jesus Christ.  (Romans 8:16-17)

By grace I have been saved though faith and that not of my self it is the gift of God.    
  (Ephesians 2:8-9)

I have been born again by the word of God and by the Spirit.
 (1 Peter 1:23  John 3:5-6)

I am a new creature in Christ Jesus, old things have passed away and all things have become new.
(2 Corinthians 5:17)

I have been redeemed by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, all my sins have been forgiven me.  (Ephesians 1:7)

I am a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven. (Philippians 3:20-21)

I have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and have been translated into the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ.  (Colossians 1:13-14)

Jesus Christ is head of the church of which I am a part.  (Ephesians 5:23  Colossians 1:18)

Jesus Christ is Lord over all things to me and all things are under His feet in my behalf.  (Ephesians   

If I confess my sins (If and when I do sin) He is faithful and just to forgive me and cleanse me.
   (1 John 1:9 -2:1)

God who is my Heavenly Father hears my prayers and meets all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  (Philippians 4:19  Ephesians 1:3)

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.   (Psalms 23)

The Holy Spirit is with me, He helps me, comforts me, teaches me and empowers me.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.   ( Philippians 4:13)

Jesus Christ will never leave me nor forsake me, therefore I will never be lonely and downcast. 
   ( Hebrews 3:5   Isaiah 41:10)

As I live my life for Jesus Christ I look for His glorious appearing.   (Titus 2:13)
